After the fire: save the framing

Dry ice blasting takes char and soot off framing, masonry, and decking without adding a drop of water to a structure that just survived a fire. What can be saved stays — cleaned back to sound material and documented for the claim file.

Why dry ice after a fire

Take the soot out. Don't paint it in.

Soot isn't a surface stain — it drives into char and open grain where wipes and chem sponges stop. Getting it out, dry, is the whole job.

Deeper than a sponge can reach

Fire opens the grain of wood and the pores of masonry, and soot follows it in. Wiping and sponging clean the surface layer; the contamination — and the odor source — stays in the material underneath.

No water into a burned structure

Dry ice removes char and soot without adding water to a building that just survived a fire. No pressure-wash soak, no drying-out phase, no trading a fire problem for a moisture problem.

Removal makes odor treatment work

Sealing over soot locks the smell source into the structure. Removing the soot first — instead of encapsulating it — is what gives odor treatment a real chance to hold.
